NFL PICKS WEEK 4

Houston (2-1) at Atlanta (0-3)

The Texans are 3 point favorites

The Falcons seem to be due for a win especially with Mario Williams banged up. However, the Falcons are a mess. Their best player is in the court room, their best defensive player is suspended for half of the game by ownership(CB DeAngelo Hall), and their starting quarterback is Joey "Million Chances" Harrington. Pretty much, the Falcons might not win until they get recently signed former Jag QB Byron Leftwich in the game. Texan RB Ahman Green is banged up but does it matter? Whether he admits it or not former Falcon backup Matt Schaub is going to be playing with a chip on his shoulder.

Texans win by more then 3.

N.Y. Jets (1-2) at Buffalo (0-3)

The Jets are 3 1/2 point favorites

Chad Pennington is healthier, Thomas Jones is starting to look like Thomas Jones again and N.Y. was pumped after last weeks win(even if they almost blew it at the end). New York still has a weak run defense and their offensive line has something to prove for me to believe in them. The Bills starting QB J.P. Losman is out and Standford rook Trent Edwards will be starting his first game. Look for Mangenious to have their defense running around making things as confusing as possible for Edwards. Bills great rookie linebacker Paul Posluszny is out indefinitely. However, it is a division game so anything can happen.

J-E-T-S win by more than 3.5

Baltimore (2-1) at Cleveland (1-2)

Ravens are 4 1/2 point favorites

There are so many sub-plots to this game it is ridiculous. It is still the Browns formally known as the Ravens vs the new Browns and Cleveland fans will never forget that. Jamal Lewis is pumped to play against his former team that just kicked him to the curb a couple of months ago. However, the Ravens D has not allowed a rushing touchdown yet this season and you can bet Ravens Coach Brian Billick and his staff know Lewis like the back of their hands. Brownies WR Braylon Edwards is starting to show he is the real deal and the Browns offense has been suberb with QB Derek Anderson surprisingly racking up the touchdown passes. Hoooowever, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and Terrell Suggs eat QBs like Derek Anderson for breakfast and lets not make him Tom Brady after one big game.

Ravens beat up Cleveland and win by a touchdown.

St. Louis (0-3) at Dallas (3-0)

Cowboys are 13 point favorites

It's hard to imagine the last time the Rams went 0-3. They should be due for a win even at Dallas but All Pro RB Steven Jackson is out for the week and the rookie out of Rutgers Brian Leonard will get his first start, YIKES!!!! No running game equals no time for Bulger to get the ball downfield. Tony Romo is playing like one of the top QBs in the league, RB Marion Barber is playing well and they have T.O.

Cowboys blow out Rams by at least 2 touchdowns.

Chicago (1-2) at Detroit (2-1)

Bears are 3 point favorites

The Bears defense and special teams are great and the offense has been horrible. They benched their QB(Grossman) that helped them get to the Super Bowl and have named Brian Griese who has never been able to hold a starting job their QB. They are missing Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson hasn't lived up the hype as the feature back. The Lions are a solid team who rally around their QB Kitna and have tons of weapons on offense(WRs Roy Williams and Rook Calvin Johnson). Expect a low scoring game.

Detroit pulls it out by a field goal.

Oakland (1-2) at Miami (0-3)

Dolphins are 4 point favorites

Here's another game with a great sub-plot. Daunte Culpepper coming back to Miami the team that didn't give him a chance after his knee injury, and disrespected him in camp this year. Yeah he will never be as mobile as he was in Minnesota and hasn't proved he can be great without Moss but he still has a rocket for an arm. Also Dolphins All Pro LB Zack Thomas is going to be out again with a concussion, Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown could have a big day against the Raiders weak front line but it might not be enough.

Oakland wins by a touchdown.

Green Bay (3-0) at Minnesota (1-2)

Packers are 2 point favorites

Division rivals face off in this big matchup. The Packers seem to be a team of destiny standing at 3-0. Brett Favre is looking young and on the brink of break Marinos all time TD record and he will in this game. However, the Vikes running game is on point and rookie standout Adrian Peterson will have a big day. With the season pretty much on the line for Minnesota and playing at home the Packers will get their first loss Sunday.

Vikings win by a field goal.

Tampa Bay (2-1) at Carolina (2-1)

Panthers are 3 point favorites

This is a tough game to pick. QB Jack Delhomme is injured (right elbow) and ex-Texan David Carr will get his first start as a Panther. Now I know that you're feeling sick from this game there are many questions. Is David Carr gonna ressurrect his career? Is Steve Smith gonna have a big game against Tampa's solid D? etc. etc. If Tampa just rides the Cadillac all game long and if they can get the ball downfield to Joey Galloway the Bucs should come away with the upset. NFL.com had a stat that said the Buccaneers are 10-0 when RB Cadillac Williams carries the ball 20 or more times, WOW.

Buccaneers win by a touchdown.

Seattle (2-1) at San Francisco (2-1)

Seahawks are 2 point favorites

Another tough game that has to have you sick to your stomach of which team to pick. RB Shaun Alexander has a broken wrist but is still going to play with a club like cast on his right arm. This could make the 49ers young defense (led by rookie standout LB Patrick Willis) looking for the strip too much and Alexander the veteren RB breaking tackles and having a huge day. 49ers QB Alex Smith has been improving but 49ers RB Frank Gore has seemed to take a step back. The 9ers are improving but the Seahawks are just a better and more cohesive team.

Seahawks win by 10.

Pittsburgh (3-0) at Arizona (1-2)

Steelers are 6 point favorites

Every year the Cardinals are supposed to be the surprise team and every year they lose a couple of close games and their season is over early. RB Edgirren James has been playing like the Edgirren we know but QB Matt "Pretty Boy" Lienart has been horrible and he might be benched for the 150 year old Kurt Warner. On the other side, the Steelers have been putting up tons of points under new coach Mike Tomlin and the Cardinals are not going to stop RB Willie Parker.

Steelers beat Cardinals by 20.

Denver (2-1) at Indianapolis (3-0)

Colts are 9 1/2 point favorites

Denver has looked good with new RB Travis Henry and second year QB Jay Cutler at the helm. However, Champ Bailey is only one man and he can't cover all of the Colts weapons. The Colts also have a pretty good Quarter Back, his name is Peyton, and he usually doesn't lose his first game until about the middle of October.

Colts win by 2 touchdowns.

Kansas City (1-2) at San Diego (1-2)

Chargers are 12 1/2 point favorites

This is probably the easiest game to pick this week. It has been a tough transition for the Chargers losing their Head Coach, Offensive Cor., and Defensive Cor. it has got them off on the wrong foot. However, this team went 14-2 last year and LaDanian Tomlinson is pissed off as well as the entire team at their record. Herm Edwards' squad just doesnt have enough to stop the Bolts and their crowd is going to be rocking. Tomlinson and Gates will have huge games.

Chargers beat up the Chiefs by at least 20.

Philadelphia (1-2) at N.Y. Giants (1-2)

Eagles are 2 1/2 point favorites

These fierce rivals face off at the Meadowlands Sunday night. The Giants are banged up and the Eagles offense looked amazing last week. The Giants defense has to step up and win this one for Big Blue because Eli "Not Peyton" Manning is in for a rough night. The Eagles put up 56 points last week against the Lions and Donovan McNabb is back, WATCH OUT. The game will be close because these teams know each other very well.

Eagles win on last second field goal.

New England (3-0) at Cincinnati (1-2)

Patriots are 7 1/2 point favorites

The Pats are simply the best team in the league talent wise, even if they cheat. Tom Brady to Randy Moss is the best QB-WR comobo since Montana to Rice(sorry Peyton and Marvin). It just seems not fair to pair those two together especially against a team that just gave up 51 points to the BROWNS!!!! Expect a blow out but don't be surprised if Brady and Carson Palmer get into a shootout because the Bengals have a dynamic offense. Their offense led by Palmer, Chad Johnson and T.J. Who's your Mama is solid. However, RB Rudi Johnson is out for this game so it's going to be even tougher.

Patriots beat down the Bengals by ten and maybe alot more.
